Despite the media outcry
against the buildings unique and diverse engineering and architecture, the
Federation Square project has delivered to Melbourne what its original
intentions were – to bring together the complexity of the inner city,
the gentle flowing Yarra river and serene urban landscapes, in a central
semi-open public space. The 3.8ha site encompasses, museums, galleries,
television studios, amphitheatre, shopping plaza, restaurants and cafes.
